Many of the kids who come to Gamer's Club have never played organized sports in their lives. In fact, many of them rarely leave their basements. They're full of energy and enthusiasm for life, but they have a hard time finding others who share their passion and values. Some of them don't know how to interact with peers or how to behave in a competition; they've never had a role-model to teach them how to win or lose graciously. They don't know how to work as a team or communicate effectively...until they come to Gamer's Club. In the past, we've seen unbelievable growth in social skills. Lifelong friendships have been forged. Academic progress has improved, all because these kids feel like they belong and there's something worth coming to school for.

About my class
