Our students have jumped into a new adventure creating a digital portfolio highlighting their best work and the skills they have mastered during their time in middle school. This project is focused on obtaining extra Chromebooks so that students have access to the technology that they need in order to create documents and presentations for classwork and their final evaluation, known as the Backpack Defense. This new digital portfolio is called the Digital Backpack of Skills and shows that students have achieved success in middle school and are ready for high school. There are a host of real-world skills that are learned and mastered while students create documents, presentations, and collaborate on digital platforms using the suite of Google apps. By making these devices to students before, during, and after school we will be able to ensure that all students have a fair chance to demonstrate their abilities and successes in the classroom.
