Kindergarten is a very important year for children. I would like to bridge the gap between Pre-K and kindergarten by providing students with numerous hands on learning opportunities. The games that I have chosen help students to learn their letters, recognize and spell words and become readers. These materials will be the perfect complement to the curriculum and books that students will be working with on a daily basis in my classroom. These activity centers and file folder games that I have chosen will make learning fun for all of the children and help them to be excited about coming to school every day. Students will be playing these games daily while they work in their literacy stations. They will have the opportunity to choose the game that is a the right level for them and to play independently or with a friend.
