My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to read about numerous different topics. My schools' media center doesn't have a large collection of books, so I would like to have books will hold their interests and keep them reading in my classroom. Bud Not Buddy is a great story that teaches students about perseverance and respect for yourself. Our class set has seen better days and unfortunately, students this year weren't able to read it because pages were ripped out of each book. In previous years, students have absolutely loved the story of Bud Not Buddy, and I hope to continue the wonderful tradition with my future students.
