The eight LEGO WeDo 2.0 sets that I am requesting for my classroom will have a huge impact on my student's school life. They will be able to take part in several STEM challenges. They will be excited to create and build. Each challenge is student led, which allows the students to navigate their learning in a style that works best for them. STEM consists of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. LEGO WeDo 2.0 covers each of the component. A science topic challenge is given to the students. They use technology through the use of iPads to watch videos, and gather instructions as to what is required of them. Next, they build! Each student will become engineers when figuring out how to build their project and make it work. Finally, mathematics. Here, students will code their design to make it move, turn, swivel, and swirl. They will even code music to their design. The magic of this program is that each student will have an active role in participating. They will learn the importance of being a team and working together. They will become out of the box thinkers.
