Many of my students ran to get new books and one has read several already. \r\n\r\nThese books have encouraged my students to read. Graphic novels have been wonderful to engage even the most reluctant reader. The Stranger Things book set has been a fan favorite for students who watch the show.\r\n\r\nStudents who struggle with reading often shy away from books of any kind. Others want to read, but books at their level look too babyish. Graphic novels presents age appropriate literature in an accessible format, so that even if students don't read or decode every word, the visuals and presentation help them access the content. \r\n\r\nThis has also been great with students who struggle with reading stamina. To get through a novel is a feat, and many students who struggle would not be successful. Graphic novels let them succeed in their reading and increase their stamina.
