Hello! It is my goal as an English teacher to do two things: help my students be able to read a wide variety of different types of texts and enjoy doing so. It is also my goal to help my students become better writers. In our welcoming and team-building classroom community all students work to help each other to succeed. My students range in reading ability. Some are very gifted, while other struggle. However, when they enter my classroom, they know they will work together to help everyone in the class grow as stronger readers. This is why reading together works well with them. They are a great group of students. Our town is a small, but close community, and this carries over into the classroom.
