The students in my classroom are from a low socioeconomic status. Every student in the school receives a free lunch. We have a very high turnover rate of students, as we have the highest homeless percentage within our county. My class in general consist of 23 students. 5 of them are English language learners. 3 are considered homeless. The class as a whole ranges from a few on level students to several below level students. A lot of the children in my classroom struggle to not only pay attention, but stay awake throughout the day simply from issues spearing from home. It is my hope to help engage them with the use of technology in the classroom to help offset issues at home. I want school to feel like a fun and safe place for them to learn.
