The class is made up of 11 students with various disabilities in a small country school. The school is made up of roughly 325 students from grades kindergarten to eight grade. The students in the class are in grades third to fifth grade but their academic skills are below a first grade level. Their lack of academic skills affects their ability to function in a regular education classroom. Many of the students also have delays in their social skills. They forget manners, respect, and other general social skills. This school year the students have worked very hard on their social and academic skills to help overcome many of the challenges they face in their life.

About my class
