The MTM Family Resource Center (FRC) is a space where students and families can meet immediate basic needs free of charge. Currently we stock clothing, shoes, hygiene products, school supplies and bedding. Our space relies on donations and, with school starting and COVID relief waning, demand has been increasing for products like soap, shampoo and toothpaste. When students know that they are being supported by their school community in meeting their basic needs, their relationship with education changes. These donations are what we need in order to continue this project and work at building a solid foundation where students feel cared for, respected and ready to learn.
