My students are Kindergarten students with mild to moderate learning disabilities. They are interested in learning, enjoy coming to school, and always try their best. I love being a Kindergarten teacher, as Kindergarten is such a fun time in school for a child because they are generally happy to be in school, learning and interacting with friends. I want to provide the best learning experience possible for them so they want to continue to participate in school and become life-long learners. I have high expectations for my students and believe given the right learning environment with engaging, hands-on learning opportunities, all children can learn regardless of their disability. It's so rewarding to see how much they grow academically and socially from the beginning to the end of the school year. My school is a K-5 elementary school where 88% of the students participate in a free or reduced-price lunch program.
