My students are mostly Hispanic, with Spanish being their native language. Although our school is located in a low socio-economic community, the parents and community are very involved in the children's education and welfare. My students are thirsty for knowledge and are natural inquirers and are risk-takers with respect to learning English. The wonderment and excitement that my students display when learning new things makes it fun to be a teacher!
