Knowing this, I want to thank you for your support in allowing young students to not only learn literacy, but enjoy it, too. From the first day of school, my students have spent much of their time enjoying my colorful and organized library. The flex seating has been a hit with this group! Many of them spend most of their free time in flex seating in the library or nearby with a book or the Lakeshore phonics blending cards with pictures. I have readers ranging from emergent to above grade level, and it feels like now with our new library, everyone's needs and interests can be met!\r\n\r\nTogether or solo, these students have especially loved their new, highly rated books by authors Mo Willems (The Pigeon books) and Angela DiTerlizzi (The Magical Yet and The Curious Why). Some students even felt inspired to draw or write about the characters in both sets of books! Every day, I choose a story from my library to read aloud to the class, and when I read these books aloud, the engagement is high and the shared feeling of belonging is palpable! It is so important for educators to instill a love for reading and learning at a young age, ensuring we are laying the foundation of later success, creativity, and gratitude. I am excited to watch my students' growth this year, and know that your contributions have made an impact.","fullyFundedDate":1751054397471,"projectUrl":"project/from-boring-to-brilliant-help-us-build/9427529/","projectTitle":"From Boring to Brilliant: Help Us Build an Inspiring Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Montgomery","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9074703_orig.jpg?crop=576,576,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750617567844","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9074703"},{"teacherId":9996585,"projectId":9251042,"letterContent":"On behalf of our entire second-grade class, I want to extend our deepest gratitude for the generous donation of over 100 new chapter books to our classroom.\r\n\r\nYour gift has made a powerful and immediate impact on our students—many of whom come from low-income households and do not have consistent access to books outside of school. Watching their eyes light up as they explore the shelves filled with colorful covers and exciting titles has been nothing short of magical. \r\n\r\nThese books are already sparking curiosity, inspiring conversations, and encouraging a love for reading that will carry far beyond the classroom. They're helping our young readers build confidence, expand their vocabulary, and strengthen their comprehension skills—all while fueling their imaginations and helping them discover the joy of getting lost in a good story.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, your donation also sends a powerful message: that our students are seen, valued, and supported.
