I recently became the librarian at Houston and Simon Elementary schools which are both in high poverty areas. Almost all of our students qualify for free and reduced price lunch. Unfortunately the library is in need of many improvements so that students are able to receive the full benefit of the library. There is currently no technology available to students in the library, nor is there technology that allows me to provide media lessons when working with the students.
