Our elementary school is located within a small community made up of mixed ethnicities and diverse cultural backgrounds on the island of Kauai, HI. We are Title One funded, meaning many of our students receive free or reduced-priced lunches and come from socio-economically disadvantaged families that work more than one job to meet the cost of living here. While we live in a beautiful place, there is limited exposure to opportunities outside of this small-town community. When I teach, I hope to inspire curiosity and stir the imaginations of my students.

About my class
