My class consists of 18 children (9 boys and 9 girls) who have a great desire to learn and put their hearts into everything they do. As much as they are eager learners, I have many struggling learners. Ten of my eighteen children are below grade level, one student receives special education services and three children are ELL children meaning English is not the primary language at home. I have children from 2 parent and single parent homes. My class is quite diverse yet they have come together as Miss S's second grade family. They are always trying to help each other even if their skills limit them. They have a wonderful I Can attitude that I desire to foster and help them grow to love their time learning in my class. With so many diverse needs it is not always easy to assist each of my students, but I give them all I can.
