The books that I chose will provide students a variety of genres in read in small groups. These books will be beneficial because many of my students struggle with behavioral issues and building character is something that we discuss often. The character books will educate them more on character building and give opportunity for more discussion. I also work in a diverse population and educating students will help them better understand cultural differences while improving fluency for struggling readers. Students' learning styles are very different, and the reading bingo games and comprehension practice skill cards will help students who are below grade level to better understand what they are reading and improve their comprehension skills.
