These materials will be used with students who have behavioral and emotional challenges. Providing my students the opportunity to change their behavior by using alternatives such as seating and sensory tools can assist them in managing their behavior and be able to stay focus in their learning. The wobble chairs, the bands and cushion will help students who are unable to sit still the opportunity of movement while sitting. The fidget will serve similar purpose for those students who just need something in their hands to keep them busy while learning. Many flexible seating options stimulate students’ sense of touch. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with ADHD, ADD and ASD.
