My students are noticeably more engaged in the learning process when I allow them to make the choice of where they work around the room. This rainbow rug will provide them with another comfortable place to sit while on our tile floor. They will be able to use this as a spot to read, engage in learning centers, participate in whole group instruction with the classroom SMARTboard, and write in their personal journals. The colorful squares on the rug will brighten up our room and contribute to the bright, positive environment that I try to cultivate for my students.
