Having a MacBook and an iPad in the classroom, along with all the Microsoft Office applications, will allow my students to create exciting products with Office and other Apple tools and software like iTunesU, iMovie, etc. They will also use apps for instruction and enrichment activities. My school does have a few carts but I would like my students to use technology and other digital devices on a daily basis. These computers will also assist me with planning since carts have to be turned in at the end of the day. Let's be honest - Social Studies is not always the most exciting and fun subject in school, but with a MacBook and iPad, imaginative assignments, and the brilliant, creative minds of my students, Social Studies can come to life! Although this is a project with a hefty total, it is completely worth it! I KNOW my students. I KNOW the way technology is taking over. I KNOW that with this donation, my students will be on the fast track to a very bright future and tons of technology experience already under their belts when they leave middle school. Please consider donating to this project. My students and I would so greatly appreciate it!
