These materials are for the benefit of my amazing intellectually disabled students to improve their quality of life both inside and outside of the classroom. The items in this project would give them the chance to learn functional cooking skills like using a grill, convection oven and mixing in bowls. The items would be directly used in our monthly Sharswood Shark Snack Bar, and students would have the opportunity to cook new and exciting menu items! We are looking forward to exploring new recipes to expand our knowledge of health choices. The products would allow my middle schoolers the chance to explore aspects of independence and daily life not yet tackled in the classroom.
