Our school is a high poverty, inner-city school, with a magnet focus on building up critical thinking skills in our students by utilizing complex texts, art pieces, music, museum visits, performance art, and other rich experiences our students may otherwise not be able to experience. We are a vibrant school with strong love of the arts, museum style learning and presentations, and strong community ties with our wonderful city. The students are proud to be a part of this school. Our classroom and school positive culture focuses on utilizing leadership opportunities for our students to help them feel confident and useful, while taking responsibility for his/her learning and academic growth.

About my class
