My students are ready to jump into more active books! The sound and sensory books will help them: 1. Add to their growing vocabulary 2. Practice both English and Spanish 3. Explore new sensations 4. Make those important connections to animals, places, and things 5. Give them opportunities to have fun reading with friends in our library 6. Learn about their shapes and colors in a fun way 7. Can continue to explore the outside world through our love of books! Everything in a classroom should be culturally inclusive and so stems my need for new books that both delight, educate, and make them feel comfortable. The canopy is an added bonus to make our library area an even more special place, where they can sit with a friend to read, while developing much needed social/emotional bonds. Thank you so much.
