My kids come from all over the world! Some are children of the allies from South Korea! They love our country and want to learn English! They trust and respect their teachers and schools! We are at a Title One school and the students cannot afford to purchase many resources with their own money. We make a HUGE difference in their lives! Our school has had more non-English speaking families enrolling over the past year, and this project would last for decades to come! My class is a self-contained English Language Development room where the children need to pass an English proficiency exam. I help them to rapidly acquire English vocabulary and to understand where the words belong in a grammatically correct sentence, through the use of picture cards on a Grammar Wall. If it were interactive, it would make more of a difference! This year, the project would support 17 students, but the resources would continue to last.
