Our Title I elementary school is located in a close-knit, rural community outside of Syracuse, New York. Many of the families have been in the school district for generations and have even had the same teachers as their children. Because of the smallness of our school we constantly rely on one another for teaching resources and ways that we can better our classroom and educational opportunities for our students. Our students have a strong sense of community and "Lancer Pride." They are always willing to help out their fellow classmates and teachers. My students thrive when given the opportunity to collaborate and use their creative minds. They also enjoy being given leadership roles especially when they help others achieve success as well.
