The tambourines and xylophone will be a great addition for my students to show their understanding of musical concepts. We will use them to provide accompaniment for folk songs and to provide an ostinato for songs. The percussion instruments will allow students to grow and experience music in a new and exciting way. Every student will be able to use these instruments in Pre-K through 5th grade and not only learn more about musical concepts, but have fun doing it! The instruments that I am requesting will give all students no matter what background, culture or experience a chance to learn in a hands on way, and with their classmates while putting all differences aside. These instruments will be used in many ways, and the students are looking forward to actively learning how to use the requested items. I am striving to create a music program that brings students together while learning to love music. These percussion instruments are more than just instruments, they are an educational tool to assist in the growth of the wonderful boys and girls.
