Our 7th and 8th graders are eager to learn and create. Many of our students are struggling readers with great motivation to improve. These magazine subscriptions will allow our all of our readers' exposure to high-interest articles. These magazines will be used to tangible reading (not on a screen) and improve reading skills as they comprehend and react to current events. After reading, comprehending and responding to the articles, the students will use these mentor texts to model their own writing after in our school-wide publication. They will publish their writing online and share with their peers. Extra! Extra! Read all about it!
