My students are learning to be budding writers. I have created a community of writers in my classroom. Even their teacher is an avid writer. Everybody is comfortable and secure writing and showcasing their wonderful work. We often share our writing with many wonderful decorations. Even though we are in a large school with 800 students and 12 other first grades, we are still able to have a close knit classroom. This project will give my students the opportunity to tell their own story.
