I am a 2nd grade Bilingual Teacher, all of my students primary language is Spanish and some of them have limited English. Most of the students I have come from low income families that often have more than one job in order to make ends meet as a result many times our students do not have the necessary skills that are appropriate for their age. There are 7 2nd grade classes at my campus but I am the only bilingual. The materials I am requesting would benefit future students in my class. My students are eager to learn and I am eager to teach them, it is a difficult task since our students have not been exposed to much before coming to school. I know that students learn so much from one another and the addition of this materials would really help us create a wonderful learning room.
