Your support has made such a positive impact on our classroom. As a 4th grade teacher, I use anchor charts daily to help my students understand and remember key concepts—especially in math—and having a sturdy, mobile easel has made this so much easier and more effective.\r\n\r\nThe easel has become a central part of our learning space. I can now display charts during whole group lessons, easily move them to small group areas, and flip between previously made charts for quick review. The chart paper has allowed me to create colorful, engaging visuals that stay up in the classroom as helpful reminders for students throughout the day. My students love referring back to these charts as they work independently, which helps build their confidence and independence.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has truly made a difference in our learning environment. I am incredibly grateful for your generosity and support through DonorsChoose. Thanks to your donations, our classroom received much-needed pencil sharpeners, flexible seating, and essential classroom supplies. These items have made a significant difference in the daily learning experience for my 4th graders, especially during math lessons. Your kindness truly brought joy and excitement to our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe new pencil sharpeners have been a game-changer—students are now able to stay focused and ready to learn without the distraction of dull pencils or broken equipment. The flexible seating has allowed my students to feel more comfortable and empowered in their learning space. Whether they're working on math stations, solving problems in small groups, or collaborating on projects, having seating choices has helped them stay engaged and motivated.\r\n\r\nThe classroom supplies you provided have enhanced our math learning in countless ways. Each time the office called to let us know a delivery had arrived, I had a line of volunteers eager to go and pick it up. We decided to wait until everything had arrived to have a big unboxing day. When the day came, they were overjoyed to open the boxes, assemble some of the supplies, and begin using them right away! \r\n\r\nSince then, we've been using nearly every item daily. Students begin their day in our class by grabbing their supplies from the drawer carts before heading to the carpet with clipboards or whiteboards and markers to work through math problems together. Afterwards, during math stations, some students work together on math review games that I've slipped into the dry erase pockets, making them able to be reused over and over again. In the meantime, others work on our online math intervention program. The computer mice transformed this experience and became class favorites! Before, we only had a few to share, and many students struggled with the trackpads when working on our computers. Now, every child has their own mouse, which has made the platform easier to use and also especially helped our students with fine motor challenges. Students also use the headphones stored neatly in our shoe organizer, which allow them to access text-to-speech features. This is a huge support for my emergent bilingual students, as well as the Spanish-to-English dictionaries that empower them to take hold of their learning by looking up an unfamiliar, new word when they come across it. \r\n\r\nThese donations didn't just provide us with supplies, but also independence, support, and excitement! My students and I are deeply grateful for your generosity and the difference it has made in our daily learning.","fullyFundedDate":1743007264590,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-learning-with-essential-suppli/8872707/","projectTitle":"Enhancing Learning with Essential Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Esquivel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7286055_orig.png?crop=879,879,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1735005451723","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-jesquivel"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13325","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":658,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":27,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":53,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"15.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":80.3,"schoolId":13325,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Krause Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Krause Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/brenham-independent-school-district/krause-elementary-school/13325"}
