Most of my students are low socio-economic. Only about 1/4 of my students have computers or iPads in their homes. The students I have are very eager to learn, but struggle to get online with the computers in my classroom. Our students are suppose to begin testing on computers this spring, but many are not ready because they do not have exposure to the computer. This will cause many of the students to struggle with testing because of their inexperience with technology. Our school is an older school with computers to match. I want to give my students every opportunity to excel, and I believe this can be accomplished with new computers.
