Our students are an ethnically and economically diverse population. Although our students predominantly identify themselves as Christian, it is essential they cultivate an appreciation for other cultures and beliefs as we are in a melting pot of these here in Hawaii. Our students are sponges; they are curious and eager to soak up new information. To research this information and present it to others, students must have access to computers. Our school has two computer labs, but they serve our entire school population--over 2,000 students! The few computers we have are virtual dinosaurs. Students have to install Google Chrome and drive each time they log in. If we are to get students prepared to think critically about politics and social issues in today's society and the future, it is imperative that they know about the past. The chromebooks are essential to this process.
