Our school is a vibrant community of learners and families currently serving students in grades K-3. We have a strong commitment to providing a world-class education to students in our community and a track record of success in educating English Language Learners. We have one of the highest percentages of English Language Learners of any charter school in New York City. As we are located in the South Bronx, the poorest Congressional District in the United States, many families struggle with poverty. We believe that any student, regardless of his or her background, can succeed. Our students are dedicated musicians. Every student participates in general music class where they learn basic musical skills. Even by third grade, the students are already accomplished singers! Students also have the option to participate in violin classes which are based on Suzuki Method, a rigorous course of study that demands a high level of parent involvement.
