I have dedicated my teaching career to empowering children, regardless of abilities or background, to strive to be their best. I have taught grades Kindergarten, First, Reading K-3, and currently Fifth grade. I have been married for almost 20 years and have two beautiful children. Working with children for the past 15 years, I have learned that when you create a welcoming, nurturing environment, students want to be in your class. Science and Social Studies is a place in which amongst all subject areas, students can find success. With our school being STEM focused (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) I create an environment with many hands-on learning opportunities in which students have no ceiling and can let their creativity unfold. I have many abilities in my classes from Special Needs-Gifted; which challenges the ways in which I must create lessons and projects; trying to meet the needs of all.
