I teach Basic English 1 to high school students. My students have learning disabilities, which means they have a hard time reading and writing. A majority of my students are upperclassmen and they will soon be out in the real world. I would like for them to increase their reading levels and their writing skills so that they are a bit more prepared for that real world. I find that many of the students are scared of what comes after high school because they do not believe in themselves and I am sure that their reading levels and writing skills have a lot to do with that.world
