My students are plagued by many unfortunate circumstances that makes learning a difficult task. There are so many obstacles that force them to focus on negative issues rather than positive ones. Most of my students are centered in urban areas where they are exposed to violence and brutality. Regardless of their situation when focused and engaged they are excellent critical thinkers and great team workers. My school is very structured in order to provide stability and direction to our students. I believe that their learning experience should be comparable to any other student in a regular school setting. I love my school because it is a place of second chances I am able to increase the knowledge of my students and expose them to higher order thinking which will enable them to become productive, confident individuals with a promising future.
