Weather in Indiana is an odd thing. It can be sunny and in the 50s one day, then next day we will have 2 inches of snow on the ground. This means having a wide variety of clothing so you are prepared. With financial barriers, many of our students face having a pair of shoes to keep your feet dry as a major barrier for them coming to school. Nobody likes having cold wet feet. It makes for a miserable day. For many, instead of coming to school with shoes that offer no protection from wet or cold, they will stay home. These shoes offer my students the chance to eliminate this barrier. By having new shoes, they can get their education and pursue their post secondary dreams.
