Our school has a student population of 880 students. It is a Title 1 school which means over 50% of our students receive Free or Reduced lunch from the Federal Government. The area our school is located in one of the oldest areas of Ewa Beach, Hawaii. We have a range of students in regards to their home life: homelessness, incarcerated parents, raised by extended family, military families, and nuclear families. Our school is a community of teachers and administrators who care about the future of our students. We encourage students to strive for career and college readiness, and believe in teaching the whole child. As a media teacher, I want my students to have a positive voice in our community. By supporting our media class, you are helping students harness their creativity to have a positive impact on our school climate and become future leaders in our community.
