My project is created to support building a robust and relevant classroom library. Our sixth graders are ecstatic to be back in school in person and absolutely love to read. They are curious about the world around them. To feed that curiosity and encourage a love of reading, this list of books was curated to enrich our curriculum, build their reading stamina, validate their interests, and expose them to perspectives and world views beyond the ones they currently hold. Great things are in store for this sixth grade class. By having access to high quality and diverse novels, students are able to build their love of reading, increase their reading stamina, and learn about new places and world views.
