I decided to return to my Alma mater and teach solely because of the students. These students are seekers and dreamers. The majority of them are getting bussed in from South Central, Watts and other underserved areas. Early every morning they wait in line for a yellow bus to arrive and take them to a place that nurtures their dreams and aspirations. Each morning every single one of my students chooses to have a better future and rise above the poverty, lack of resources, violence and other negative circumstances.

About my class
