I plan to have students using the Fire tablets during independent learning centers. This ensures students are working and learning with purpose while I am pulling groups and focusing on scaffolding skills. Students will work on literacy, mathematics, science and social studies topics while improving their much needed technology skills. I plan on uploading two researched based interventions that is used by our district to lessen the achievement gap in math and literacy. Having Fire tablets will help students meet their weekly minutes in both of these intervention programs. While students are responsible for taking care of their own learning, they are also responsible for taking care of others. With the use of these fire tablets. I plan on creating a job title called, "The technology assistant." The students with this job title will be those who show they can assist others who have problems while working on the tablets. This fits our power of three school wide model: "Take care of yourself, take care of others, and take care of our environment."
