Our school is an exceptional school that is home to the districts autism center where they work hard to help students integrate into the normal classroom setting. 20% of my class is identified as autistic. Not only is our staff exceptional working with our autistic students, but our students are the most accepting and compassionate. My students understand the challenges our autistic students face and often go above and beyond to include all students. The students understand that everyone is unique and often offer support to each other when others are in need.
