After a brief break from the teaching profession, I am returning to the world of public education as a third grade teacher. I am so excited for the opportunity to help bring a love of reading to this age level, and I can't wait to start building a classroom library. In past years, my students have been so excited to see our classroom library at the beginning of the year. They love the huge selection of fiction and nonfiction books. They love the freedom of choosing books that they're interested in and want to read. And I have loved knowing that there are enough high quality books at different levels and different topics and genres to meet the needs of all my learners. But I've never taught 3rd grade before, and need to start my library from scratch! I know my readers will be hungry to learn and I want to be ready for them. Help me establish a library to inspire.
