I teach a group of incredibly hard working and passionate students. In spite of the many obstacles placed in front of them, they value their education and understand the struggle and importance of being better every day. One of my students said "One day I want to have an office where I can put all of my diplomas on the wall and show people that I did it. I accomplished something big." I work in the largest high school in Oklahoma City Public Schools. US Grant is a Title I school with 98% of its students on the Free and Reduced Lunch program. My students' circumstances are not always ideal, but they make them stronger and harder workers.
