The purpose of my project is to enhance the learning environment of my classroom by providing not only engaging lessons, but a place where my students can feel comfortable and safe. All of my students have a deep desire to learn, but the challenges they face in their daily lives often get in the way of their education. The products that I have chosen will allow for engaging lessons and also help ease the seemingly insurmountable amount of anxiety that they have. The VR headset will provide life like virtual fieldtrips that will allow for amazing discussions and learning experiences. The color printer will help students see their assignments in color. The flexible seating will give my students a choice in where they sit and a comfortable place to decompress, complete assignments, or read. Fidgets are always helpful to ease anxiety. Legos are wonderful for brain development and STEM lessons, even for brain breaks. My students will love that they have new experiences to look forward to at school, that they have some choices in their learning, and that I am committed to their overall wellbeing.
