We are a lower socio-economic school. We have an 83% rate of free/reduced lunch program. There is minimal school/home connection, therefore reading skills are lower than an average school. We are a No Excuse University. This program (we call it a way of life) was founded by Damen Lopez. We let families know that their child has the opportunity to go to any college or university. We are also encouraging parents to earn their GED and we will guide them in that process. Each teacher has their room decorated as a college or university of their choice and we also teach them the school songs or chants.
