My students are energetic, inquisitive first grade students who come to school eager to learn new and exciting things. Although my school is located in a high poverty area plagued with violence and drugs, the students we serve eagerly come to school prepared to overcome any obstacles placed in their path. Despite the limited resources available to students, they proceed throughout their day with a positive mindset that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to.
