Establishing a love of reading for learning and enjoyment is a primary goal for me as a teacher. Books are treasures of knowledge and pleasure and what better way to learn this than having regular access to books? By receiving a book each month of the school year, plus as birthday and Christmas gifts, my students will experience the excitement of opening a new book and immersing themselves in the sweet escape only a book offers. More over, they will grow a home library that they can share with siblings and other relatives for years to come. Reading is the foundation for success in many areas of life and setting down this foundation early on will hopefully increase the chances that my kids will develop a life long love reading!
