I strongly believe that all children have the potential to love the written word and flourish as a writer. A printer, laminating machine, and binding machine will enable my fifth grade class to create and publish short stories, comic books, news and other written materials in the classroom. Students will be able to print their stories, letters, pictures, and more. All supplies will be used to create original written works of art. I believe this project will create a lifelong love of the written word for my bilingual students. Students will not only be able to create books for themselves, but also for other students to read in both English and Spanish. In a 21st century classroom, it is necessary to have the equipment needed to ensure successful activities can be completed.
