I work at an elementary school in a large urban school district. Our school is a Title I School where the majority of students are economically disadvantaged. Additionally, a large population of students are learning English as a second language. The school offers several programs for students with academic and behavioral disabilities. Despite any academic or financial challenges, I am surrounded by the most kindhearted children - who are eager to come to school to learn. They understand the value of education and hard work - and I am committed to empowering them to become lifelong learners and quality contributors to our society.
